Democratic Candidates Endorsed by the Kansas City Star!
In some pretty wonderful news, Dennis Moore, Nancy Boyda and Lee Jones for all been endorsed by the Kansas City Star for the upcoming election! While endorsements don't always let to victories, they certainly do provide added momentum.

Kerry-Edwards: A Rally for Change
A week from today, the Emporia State Young Democrats will host what promises to be an amazing event. After raising money from all over the state, our organization will be throwing a rally in support of our national ticket. Jill Docking, the chairwoman of Kansans for Kerry and Lee Jones, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate will be our featured guests.
When: Wednesday, October 6, 2004
Time: 6pm
Where: Memorial Union Square (between Plumb Hall and the Memorial Union on the Emporia State University Campus)
Please make a point to attend. We need to show everyone that the youth of this country is ready for a change!

First Presidential Debate- TOMORROW!
In what could be one of the most important nights of TV for us Democrats, Senator John Kerry and President Bush will debate for the first time tomorrow night at 8pm CST. The EYD's are having a debate watch party at Michelle Stormont's home- if you can, please come! All of the information is on John Kerry's website.
We are planning to order pizza- if you want to partake, please be at Michelle's by 7pm. Hope to see you there!

Taking from MSNBC.com today, the Log Cabin Republicans (the LGTB Caucus in the Republican Party) has decided not to endorse President Bush for re-election. When your own party refuses to fall in step behind you because of your horrible domestic agenda, how can you ask the rest of the country to?
